Trust our Air Spring Systems to ensure a smooth, stable ride.
The major benefit of Air Lift air springs is that you can adjust air pressure to compensate for your load condition. This ensures that your load is balanced and level for better comfort and control. When your load increases, you just add air...it's that simple.
Air Lift Air springs will provide smoother control of your pickup, auto, van, or RV. Handling problems caused by heavy or uneven loads can be quickly corrected by merely adding or subtracting air and can be controlled right at your dashboard. You now have a level, safer vehicle.
Air Lift Air Springs will correct the following:
Sag: Load pulls back of vehicle down making steering difficult.
Sway and Body Roll: Vehicle moves up and down and from side to side.
Bottoming Out: Vehicle hits frame or axle on bumpy roads.
Headlight Misalignment: Back of vehicle is so low, that the headlights are in the trees.
Hitch Alignment: Unbalanced, non-level trailers may cause steering and braking problems.
Tire Patch Contact: Wheel bounce on washboard roads results in poor steering and braking.
I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4. We recently purchased a 35 foot 5th wheel. I initially had load leveler shocks on the truck, but... when they recently leaked, I put an expensive heavy duty shock on. The first time with the new shocks, I noticed my springs going the wrong direction. I bought the Air Springs from Camping World. It took me and the mechanic 2 1/2 hours to install. At 60psi, I get a great ride with approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inch drop in my rear. I would recommend these to anyone towing.
Recently installed on 1995 Winnebago Brave 31. The AirLift completely eliminated the uncomfortable bounce and sway on bumpy highwa...ys. There are two schools of thought on air pressure in each side. One says; motorhomes - fill to 100 pounds. The other (which I chose) says; determine empty ride height on each side, right and left. Add the numbers and divide by two. This is your new ride height for both sides equally. My coach happened to be 4 inches from the top of the rear tire to the bottom of the wheel arch. Now fill the coach; water, fuel, and all your "stuff". Inflate the AirLift on each side to get the ride height you calculated above. Works and rides like a charm, and I think the coach looks better because of the even ride height both sides. In my case it took 85 psig on the right and 95 psig on the left.
I have a 29 foot jamboree with only 27,000 miles it always seems to be lower in rear end now with the air lift springs and fifty p...ounds it not only looks great but the sway I was living with is just about gone and I never got the air system for that reason so it was a plus for me best thing I done so far
I have had this system on a truck and suv. Outstanding performance.
Never had any kind of trouble with the systems. Super Duty ...Air Lift system gives you the help you need the level out your travel trailer or any other heavy object.
I placed these on a full sized Ford Van I tow with to eliminate the squating in the rear end. I put about 60 lbs in these and it a... smooth safer riding level van and trailer. We tow our 28 ft trailer all summer across the country. I would never tow without these air springs.
I would reccomend getting the aditional pump to pump up and let out the air which makes it easy after you un-hitch or get ready to hitch. A press of the button and your ready to roll, plus you can monitor air pressure in both airlifts from dash. Very nice product!
I had this system installed on my 2004 Coachmen Freedom at Camping World in New Bransfels, Texas. As fate would have it, on my way... home to Houston I ran into heavy rain and gusting wind conditions. The Air Lift System did an excellent job of stabilizing my RV in the gusting winds not to mention the eighteen wheelers passing at 80 mph. I highly recommend this system to anyone that is experiencing a excessively soft or unstable ride. The Camping Word technician, Joe Ruff, did an absolutely outstanding job on installing both the air ride springs and the compressor and monitoring system.
After installing the Air-Lifts my tow vehicle is very stable. I wanted to bring the rear heigth up to where it is without my 5th w...heel attached. With only 40-45 lbs. it does the job and offers a very smooth ride. Would not be without them. Next year we are buying a new tow vehicle and this is one of the first things I will install.
Initially, CW discouraged in stalling front
Air Lifts on my 1999 Calss A Windsport. After 4 years of harsh ride, I ordered and i...nstalled them on the front myself. Glory, my co-pilot can now hear me and at low air pressure (40 psi) the ride is extra smooth. And, front to aft leveling (2-4inches) is easily attained without jacks.
I haul a 40' travel trailer with a Ford E250 3/4 ton van and have snapped springs before. I've tried upgrading to one ton springs... on my van but that made the ride too harsh when I was not towing. I went back to the factory springs and added the air bags. I thought I would have had to inflate the bags to the full 60psi but in driving from Portland Oregon to Chicago and back I found the perfect psi to be 20. When not towing I get my factory ride. When towing it still feels like a factory ride. The installation was easy at about 1.5 hours. The only glitch was the exhaust had to be slightly modified around the one air bag, but that wasn't very hard on the pocket book.
I do highly recommend installing the air bags if you have any weight issues what so ever. Thank you.
I installed these of my 2000 Ford F-350 4X4 about a month ago. We just returned from a 2000 mile trip, and I can't believe the cha...nge it made in handleing, stopping, and ride. I have a 40' fifth wheel, and I was considering a trade to a larger truck, but these changed my mind. My wife said if I didn't do something she would not ride with me anymore. Thank you Camping World and Airlift so much.
We installed the system on the rear for two reasons : One we couldnt get out of the driveway without gouging the blacktop with the... skid bars and by inflating them we clear fine and the other was the ride when pulling a car, the hard jerky ride with everything rattling and moving around and now a quiet, smooth ,level ride and you have to look at the back-up monitor and make sure the car is there.
If you will read my first post tittled "Happpy Day." on May 11 2005.
Now a year later here is an update for all. My wi...fe and I just returned from a 4300 mile 12 state vacation. I increased the air pressure to 110 pounds on the recomindation of my Les Schwab tire store. The ride was superb. The truck glided over large dips in the road and handled every turn with accuracy, never over steering, never the feel of "roll" from the backend. I have shown these to several campers while we are out and about. They always ask how I keep the truck level. I show them and they say they are going to buy some as well. What can I say, when you buy a product that really impresses you, you just gotta brag. 1997 F150 4X4 supercab with an 8 ft. Palomino pop up camper in the bed.
I just installed these on my 1997 F150 4X4. I did the install myself, the instructions were very acurate, had a bit of trouble wit...h driver side due to brake, fuel, and electrical lines. I am very mechanicaly inclined and used all air tools for this job. I would recommend letting C. W. install them for you. It took me just under five hours.
At 75psi. I noted a 4.5 inch lift. The ride is smoother and my headlights no longer point in the trees. If you have never driven on air bags, you will notice a little "roll" around corners, not to worry though, you will get used to the "glide" of the air ride.
installed on 97 F150 4X4 short bed extended cab with a 1,300 pound Palamino "pop up" camper on it's back. Happy Camping!
I purchased the air lift bags. Camping world installed them on my Chevy P-30 RV, 37Ft. with tag axle, Fleetwood. It helped the rid...e considerably, and also helped with the side to side rocking motion. It helped reduce the side to side sway, whenever I'm passed by a large truck. I reccomend them highly. Just be sure and get the auto air fill, compressor setup, so you will always have the desired amount of air in them.
I drive a single wheel 1996 Ford F-250 4x4. When I picked up my All American Sport 5th wheel I noticed right away how much it dro...pped my bed down into a very dangerous condition. Just during a short trip home I noticed the lift effect on the front end also. As the truck went through the gears I had a shimmy in the stearing wheel. I bought a set of these Super Duty air bags, rated at 5,000 pounds, and now I travel with a nice level truck & camper. I will even go so far as to say "It has improved the ride of my truck" - with or without my 5th wheel in tow. Just follow the air preasure recommendations. Install is very easy and the customer service can't be better. I just placed the air line/s out to my bumper ( very easy to maintain ) but added the on -board compressor which I received as a gift. Had I known how much better my truck would ride empty I would of installed these years ago.
I bought a 2001 31' Class C with the Air Springs already installed. The springs work great - I have driven between Amarillo Texas ...and Albuquerque New Mexico in a 35-40 Mile an hour crosswind and the motorhome held the road great with little to no sway. I also use the springs to level the motorhome when camping.
I had Dodge 3/4 ton and purchased a truck camper. With the camper
loaded, the rear of my truck dropped. After installing the a...irlift system,
I was able to level the truck and also tow a boat. The truck handled
much better and was safer to drive. The system was not hard to
install. The only problem I had was with the air compressor that
stopped working and was not covered under any warranty. Camping
World helped me replace the item. I would recommend this item to
I would like to give this an honest review but I can`t. I ordered these 2
weeks a go but camping world can`t seem to get them. T...hey told me
4 days to get them in to the local store. I have called on them, they
said it was on the trucks manifest but the truck wasn`t unloaded yet
they would call me when unloaded.week 2 I call again parts guy says
we are busy I have a couple of customers in front of you. He said Let
me get your # I will call you back shortly. about 3 hours later still no
call. Needless to say I think the customer service is terrible. I am a
first time customer so if they are this effective with all there products I
don`t know how they stay in buisness.
Had these on my 2004 F250 for 3 years. Worked great until I got a
heavier camper (2500 lbs). Although airlift says they will s...upport
5000 lbs; the bolts won’t. They supply bolts with threads tip-to-head.
Simple mechanics says you don’t use these types of bolts when
there are shear forces. One of the bolts sheared when I hit a bump in
the road. The weight of the camper caused the bracket to bend up
and it punched a hole in my truck bed. Now I need to buy a new
bracket. I will replace all 8 bolts with grade 8 bolts, which will have
I installed this on my 2012 F350 and found it to be very difficult. The kit did not include instructions and consisted of very man...y small parts. I got instructions from the internet. The instructions were not clear and shifted from side to side rather than completing one side and then moving to the next. In my opinion several of the parts should have been
assembled at the factory. It works fine now that it is installed. Took about 5 hours to install.
