If you live up north, you’ll know that the frost has already arrived. That means it’s time to hit the road in search of warmer weather! Lucky for us, our great country offers plenty of RV winter getaways. Whether you’re looking to stay for a week or the entire season, there are plenty of remarkable RV resorts and campgrounds ready to ensure your next RV adventure is a memorable and warm one! Here are some spots that are sure to keep you warm and help you escape those frigid northern winters.

One of our favorite places to soak up some sun is the great state of Florida. Florida is one of the most popular snowbird destinations amongst RV’ers during the winter months. With hundreds of miles of beaches and average winter daytime highs that reach well into the 70’s, you have every reason to go there. Nestled in the southernmost point in the continental United States, Boyd’s Key West Campground offers the perfect landscape to escape those winter blues. Along with its breathtaking location, this campground offers oceanfront campsites, a lounging beach, full hook-up sites, and free wireless internet for guests. If you’re genuinely seeking a tropical getaway, this is the place for you. The surrounding islands are sure to keep you busy during your stay. In addition, the RV Park has a seafood market, restaurants and endless family fun options within walking distance. This spot is sure to make you forget snow exists!

Seeking something a bit more arid? Our next spot is situated in Southern Arizona in the Sonora Desert where you’ll be surrounded by a striking panorama of mountains, canyons and valleys. Located just a few miles northeast of downtown Scottsdale, Fort McDowell offers the perfect winter escape and what better place to stay than at the Eagle View RV Resort at Fort McDowell. This RV Park offers a lot of amenities including a heated swimming pool, exercise room, laundry room, nature trails and so much more. Its prime location is perfect for exploring the cities of Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. You’ll defiantly feel as if you’re in your own desert oasis. Planning on bringing the family dog along? This RV resort is pet-friendly. There’s even a dog park just a few miles away, allowing your pet to run around and enjoy the mild weather. With its beautiful grounds, countless recreational activities and amenities, this spot is sure to become your favorite RV winter destination.

The rainy season usually occurs December through February. But don’t let that deter you from migrating here for the winter, as you can still expect to see mild temperatures and sunshine. If you’re looking to escape the cold in a more city-esque landscape, the Balboa RV Park is just the spot! Located 27 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, this RV Park puts you in the center of it all.
