With thousands of models available, finding the right travel trailer can be overwhelming. Here is a breakdown of some of the most popular floor plan styles to help you choose the one that’s right for you.

Bunkhouse—The Family Camper

  • Sleeps 4-10+
  • Up to 3 slides

The most popular travel trailer floorplan, with over 3000 available models, the Bunkhouse is designed to have plenty of room for your family to sleep and plenty of storage for all of their gear. Popular options include a bathroom with a direct entrance from outside, power stabilizer jacks for easy camp setup, and outdoor kitchens.

Rear Living—The Couple’s Camper

  • Sleeps 4-6+
  • Up to 3 slides

The Rear Living floorplan is perfect for couples, typically offering a separate bedroom in the front with a large living area in the rear and a large picture window on the back wall. The living area can provide some convertible sleeping areas for the occasional overnight guests (or grandchildren). Larger models include an island kitchen and seating for 10+ guests.

Rear Entertainment—The Tailgater’s Camper

  • Sleeps 4-6+
  • 2-3 slides

A Rear Entertainment floorplan replaces the large picture window of the Rear Living floorplan with a state-of-the-art entertainment center. The focus of the entire layout is centered around entertaining, with opposing slides that open up to create a real “great room” feel in the living area.

Rear Kitchen—The Cook’s Camper

  • Sleeps up to 4
  • Typically a single slide

The Rear Kitchen floorplan is well-suited for couples and small families. The kitchen is the focal point, with a large pantry and peninsula kitchen. This layout offers everything needed to cook a gourmet meal, with plenty countertop space for food prep and serving. The Rear Kitchen floorplan is ideal for full-timers, with an open layout that feels like home.
