Description

Safely use this Portable Induction Cooktop anywhere an outlet is available -- now includes a 9 1/2" induction-ready cast aluminum Skillet!
Induction cooking technology warms only the food and pan - not the cooking surface! Energy produced by the cooktop is directly supplied to the cooking vessel by a magnetic field. There are no open flames or heating elements, so the glass surface remains cool to the touch. Energy-efficient cooktop uses 90% of energy produced. Self-adjusting burner detects the size of the cookware base and adjusts output automatically.

Two independent zones allow for precise, immediate temperature adjustments. Food won’t stick to the safe, stay-cool surface, so it’s easy to wipe up even the messiest spills. Ideal for RV, boat, tailgating, dorm room, deck or patio—anywhere a 110-volt outlet is available. Included cast aluminum skillet features a non-stick surface and stay-cool ergonomic handle.

Features:

  • Cooktop uses safe, efficient, flameless induction cooking technology
  • Lightweight and compact -- only 11 3/4"W x 14"L x 2"H and weighs only 5 pounds
  • Crystal glass panel is easy to clean because it stays cool and food won’t stick
  • Display panel chart relates cooking levels to temperature and cooking function
  • Soft touch controls with 10 power settings from 140ºF to 430ºF
  • Shuts off automatically if no cookware is detected
  • Convenient built-in 150-minute digital timer

I hesitated buying Into the hype around induction cooking. I am a believer now! We have used eggbeaters for several years, with this appliance I cannot believe how fast and easy they are to prepare. In the past I have refused to cook fish indoors, stinking up the place. The Induction unit seers fish so fast, there is very little residual odor in the house. This item will definitely be going with us this summer, as almost anything can be cooked with little fuss.

Could not be more pleased with performance. Great for RV use as well as home. If you have the proper pots and pans, it works great. Fast cook response, as well as accurate settings on cook dial. In the RV, it carries well in the oven. A great addition.

This is an awesome cooktop! I no longer use the gas stove in my motorhome, I've replaced it with this cooktop. You need to beware that you do need cookware for an induction cooktop though, fortunately it came with a skillet.

Bought this cooktop for RV but have been enjoying it in the home until we get ready to go RVing. Can't believe how quickly it heats whatever you are cooking, then burner cools down immediately. Will enjoy this in the RV to use inside and outside as it will save on using propane. Electricity is paid at the site where propane is our expense. May end up buying one for home too as we enjoy it so much now.

Great little cooktop and the food just slides off the pan, using at home right now, it feels like it takes half the time to make things on the Induction Cooktop, I like it that much I am going to buy a Counter top Induction Stove. This will work out great in the camper to

Best Buy for the RV Kitchen

We use our induction cooktop every day, all day. We bought it because I didn't want to use the propane cooktop and we found the induction cooktop is faster, cleaner, cooler and safer than the alternative gas. Our stainless cookware we bought years ago is compatible with the cooktop and we have found some extra pieces at kitchen stores. (Just take a magnet with you to check before you buy.) The cooktop is almost idiot proof. We leave the cooktop on the counter all the time: I place a small towel over the top when it is not in use.

This boils water fast and only the pot gets hot! I'm not afraid of the cats getting hurt on it after cooking is finished. Also, I was pleased that my aluminum pans with steel bottoms are working well on this. This is so easy to use, and it's nice to be able to leave my propane use for the furnace!

    Cooking upgrade

The unit functions very well so far. Fun to cook with once you understand the principal of induction cooking. Boils water in less than 2min and doesn't heat the coach like gas stove. Once the pan is removed from the surface, the unit shuts off. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of availability for cookware suitable.(If a magnet will not stick to the bottom, the cooktop will not work.) There is a metal disc that I have found to put between the unit and any style pan that allows the unit to work. Full sets of cookware can be very costly. I recommend you only buy what you absolutly need. You will enjoy this product but research it completely before you buy.

Have loved it. It hasn't even made its way to the coach yet. Use it almost nightly. It has performed better than I had hoped. I think it is the best of gas and electric combiled.

Just got this at Wilsonville, OR store. Love it! Am trying it out at home and like it better than my home smoothtop range! Super fast, only needs to be at med power level to cook the perfect omlette! The skillet that came with it is also wonderful. Appreciate that it is free of the chemicals we don't like that is in Teflon coated pans. This same cooktop sells for $200 at Bed Bath & Beyond (just looked at their website to compare)! Great value!
