I added one of these to the left edge of my motorhomes driver's side mirror. Great for the quick merges. Easy to install and I was actually surprised how good the quality was for the money.

I have had these on every vehicle I have owned except on my 2001 F350 with tow mirrors ( won't fit )They are Great at helping to cut down on the blind spots wether you are towing or not. We even used these on our 2007 Gold Wing Trike. Won't drive without them.

Good mirror

I bought the mirror as a supplement to the flat mirror. I have had it 9 years. It is still works well. There have been many times I would have missed a vehicle in my blind zone without it. That would not be pretty while towing. Installation is a bit testy. I had to shim and use outside tools. The installation has stayed on 9 years.

The included tool is a joke

Before I complain, I do have to say the mirror works fine.We decided to attach it to the bottom of our mirror because it is flat and has a better fit with the Auxiliary Mirror. I was just not so sure of how secure it would be attached to the top of a curved mirror. The included tool was a total joke. Be warned that you have to deal with small hex head screws to install the mirror, and you will need your own tools to deal with that. Their included wrench was a really cheap piece of stamped metal that was supposed to be a box wrench fitting onto the hex head. Well, it didn't. It would not fit either way, so I had to go to my tool box and improvise. Be warned, the space for access to those hex screws is limited. The instructions show an end wrench as the included tool. It took me a few moments to realize that the stamped bar was the instead tool. And it didn't work. Better they should have stayed with the end wrench. The mirror is good, but the support is in the dumper.

Convex Mirrors

I really liked these mirrors when I put them on my Sprinter, but after just over a year the glass began to turn blotchy. I now need to replace them. If they have improved the glass, these are a GREAT product.

The mirror does an excellent job of covering the blind spots along a vehicle BUT the glass is of poor quality and turns blotchy in a short time requiring the mirror to be replaced JP

this is like having a high dollar extending mirror, it works very, very well! I use it on my 2007 Ford Explorer while pulling my 22 ft Jayco Jay-Fether and it makes it very easy to see all the way around my camper safely!

The Answer To The Blind Dangerous Spot That You Get With The GM Extendable Tow Mirrors

June 15, 2006
If you purchased a 2005 or later Chevy or GMC 2500 or 3500 series for towing and you have the power extending tow mirrors then you know how poorly their designed having what truckers refer to as Blind Spots, thats where you cannot see if theres a vehicle or obstical rite beside you unless you have a convexed mirror that gives you a wide view, as you know there was only two alteritives and that was to purchass the cheap stick on spot mirrows or spend over $500.00 and replace them so I started to look for a soultion and found the mirrows above and they work great, now when were towing and I pass a slow moving vehicle I dont need to ask the wife if Im clear so I can move back over.

I found this works well as a 2nd convex mirror for watching the height of my trailer when pulling underneath a canopy. It's not large enough for a full field of vision for looking back beyond the length of the trailer

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BLIND SPOT MIRROR I'VE EVER FOUND. I HAVE BROUGHT TWO SETS OF THESE FOR MY TWO SUV'S IN THE PAST AND NOW I'M BUYING A THIRD ONE FOR MY THIRD FORD EXPEDITION. NO DRILLING AND NO SCRATCHING OR DAMAGING OF EXCITING MIRROR HOUSING. INSTALLED IN UNDER 5 MINS EVEN A NONE HANDYMAN PERSON CAN DO IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO SUV, TRUCK AND VAN OWNERS. AND MOST OF ALL VERY VERY STYLISH. THE PRICE IS ALSO GREAT.

Auxillary Mirror

Easy to install and don't impair the function of the primary mirror. In addition, the area of vision is adjustable. I mounted a mirror on the top and bottom of the trailering mirror on both sides. (One mirror didn't give me the entire spectrum of vision that I was looking for). They are aerodynamic, don't create any wind noise and look as if they were original equiptment. They are worth every penny!

I've been using a pair of these on my Honda Accord for almost ten years, and I couldn't get along without them. Like David Moore, I found that they worked better when mounted "upside down," underneath the factory mirrors. (I drilled a small hole in each one's housing to permit water to drain out instead of puddling inside.) I use the left one in the usual way--to check for traffic before pulling out--but I angled the right one downward, so that I can easily see the pavement next to my car. This makes it a snap to park between the lines in parking lots. I highly recommend these mirrors. Camping World's price is a lot less than I paid for mine ten years ago!

Auxiliary mirror is Great!

March 22, 2004
I just purchased a 2004 Chevy Silverado with the camping style extendable mirrors. I thought that would replace my old method of using CIPA mirror exensions on my old GMC. Wrong! The new camping style mirrors do not have a convex mirror on the passenger side which creates a horrible blind spot on the right side of the vehicle. According to Chevy they do not have a solution to this problem. I bought the little Auxiliary mirror and it works great and looks great!! No adjusting during trips and does not vibrate. It does not point quite as far down as I would like so I plan to move it to the bottom of the mirror so the trailer tires can be seen as well as the blind area on the right.. I have also ordered a second one for the drivers side of the truck. Hope you have a good luck with this as I have.
