Poor product quality

I bought the hose assembly at a local Camping World store and took it home. The hose was connected to a full propane bottle, but no propane was released to the stove. I returned to the store, with the stove, to get a replacement. The store employees tried three other new hose assemblies on their stove before they found one that would work. My replacement hose worked one time and then, it too, refused to allow propane to flow through the hose.

So much better than small canister tanks. Hook it up when you get to camp and take it down when you leave. Works great.

I use this hose at my campsite with the O-Grill brand portable grill (orange in color). Works great with a small 4.5 lb propane tank.

A definite need to have for someone who is going keep their grill hooked up at a campsite. Better than using the 1 lb.. cylinders.

Not a crappy hose

Like the first reviewer, I bought a 5' hose for my Weber grill so I could attach it to a 4.23 lb tank (I hate to throw away those 1 lb tanks). When it wouldn't light, I thought it might be the regulator, so I called Weber tech support. I was told it takes time to fill and pressurize 5' of hose. So I turned the tank on, gave it a minute or two, and sure enough it worked.

Works for us

I have used this connected directly to a 30 lb tank at the front of our trailer and to a Weber Baby Q grill. If anything, I found it cooked rather quickly. We have used this setup at least 30 - 40 times to bbq and it works exactly as it should.

do buy this hose if you have a small propane tank!

With your main propane tanks regulated, trying to use this hose in conjunction with your onboard tanks will not produce enough BTU's to get your BBQ up to heat (as stated in other review). What works best is to bring along a 4.25 lb propane tank (small) and connect it to your BBQ using this hose. the beauty of this is that you do not have to bring along a bunch of small propane cylinders, and the tank is re- fillable.
