Tech Notes:

Set gauges by using pointing coordinates specified by your satellite receiver
1. Set azimuth and elevation to satellite coordinates
2. Set skew at 90 degrees for pre-sighting

To sight through optics:
1. Hold Align-A-Site so that levels and compass are visible while looking through optics
2. Position so that both levels indicate level and compass needle points north

Optics have 5 degrees of view (satellite requires only 3 degrees of view)

Gauges marked in 2 degree increments for consistent readings

After reading the reviews on this product I decided to give it a try. I set it up very carefully as instructed and could not get a signal. I set up my dish the old fashoned way, got a signal and found the Align-A-Site had to be moved about 3/4 of an inch counter- clockwise (when facing the front of the dish) to line up. I would say don't follow the instructions that come with the product, but set up your dish using a signal finder then instal the unit where the levels are true and you should be good to go.
