Just press a button to extend your trailer’s awning and enjoy cool shade.
Struggle no more with the opening and closing of your manual awning. If simplicity is king for you, look no further than the Dometic 9100 Power Awning.

The Dometic 9100 Power Awning brings the convenience of a motor-driven awning to the masses. With the simple press of the wall-mounted switch, the durable 9100 opens and retracts with ease. Featuring stylish and rugged vinyl fabric, the Dometic 9100 is the perfect power awning for your coach.

Knee Action design lets the awning fabric and hardware flex in moderate wind to prevent damage, and lets you walk out either end of the awning without having to duck your head. Improved hardware design offers a manual “rain shed” position and pitch adjustment of up to 24" for greater shade control. Its contemporary styling offers radius edges for a sleek appearance.

  • The 12-volt motor is tucked inside the roller tube for a clean look and moisture protection.
  • The double-sided reinforced vinyl fabric extends up to 8' and is protected in transit by a Polar White vinyl weathershield.
  • An excellent choice for travel trailers and 5th wheels, the 9100 Power Awning mounts on laminated sidewalls, using flat awning rail.
  • Easy manual operation if power fails. Available in lengths from 10' to 21' with standard or basement Polar White hardware.

I had this awning installed on my motor home in Nov. 2012. In June 2015, it is at Camping World getting a new motor installed. I think the motor should have lasted more than two and a half years.
    Pros: Ease of operation
    Cons: Quality of electric motor

Had the power awning installed at Camping World six-months ago to replace the manual awning, which wasn't any too easy to operate. It has worked great and my wife loves the push-button operation. As with any awning it is susceptible to strong winds and wind gusts. When its too windy it is easily and simply retracted. When leaving it unattended don't leave it extended if windy conditions are likely. We use the Patty-O-Shade and track lights with it and they cause no strain on the awning. In light winds we tether the awning and shade to contain any flapping. The struts and locking arms are holding up well and aren't affected by light winds. I recommend the awning.

Like the previous Ontario camper, I too was really disappointed in the power awning that came with our 5th wheel. But, thanks to Camping World and your valuable info. about the rain strut/pitch kit available under warranty for these awnings, we can also enjoy sitting out under the awning when it rains, without worrying about it collapsing! Thanks again, Camping World.

Thanks Camping World for letting the public know about the adjustable arms available on the power awnings. Its great that its covered under the warranty, you only pay for installation. We are from Ont. and had no idea, and sure didn't like the awning. We would have to put it in with the smallest amount of rain. Peterborough Rv ordered and installed the part for us. Now we love our awning, we will be able to sit out in the rain now and enjoy the awning and the great outdoors.

My husband was hurt by the spring. We tryed to fix the awning after it pulled out of the camper. We did not realize it had a spring ,being that is was electric. The spring let go and cut the nerves in his hand. Do not try to fix the awning your self.

We purchased a new 2009 Wiildcat. We too were having second thoughts on a power awning. We asked the dealer what happens in the rain. They said it auto dumps. Well it auto dumped alright. We didn't like the fact that you couldn't adjust one side to be lowered. One night it rained when we were having dinner, we went inside to eat, and heard one big crash. Upon opening the door, our power awning was down. It came right off the unit on one side, ripped the material and bent the awning roller. Our RV dealer, did get it replaced for us under warranty. On our new power awning, they have now added a piece on one side that you can adjust to lower it. It worked great this past weekend in the rain. If purchasing, make sure it has an adjustable arm.

I thought the power awning was great, until it rained. Not one drop, and I mean not one drop shed off the awning until it was over full. We woke up one morning to find we had rain overnight. I could hardly open the door to get out to rescue the awning. The arms did not drop to release the water as I was told it would. I carefully swept the water to the sides. The trailer was only a week old and the awning was now streched from the water. I argued with the selling dealer about the function I was told it would do, but was told by them that I was misinformed. Well, if I want it out now I guess I need to raise the trailer tongue up to get the water to drain. I will need seat belts for the bed so we don't roll out. I have since gotten the Pitch adjustment kit from Camping World and it was all free from Dometic. How kind of them. A dealer wants 300.00 to install it. I'll take my chances with the warranty and do it myself. It is a simple part to install. I even noticed that Dometic still hasn't got it right. They want me to install it on the door end of the awning. If it lowers the awning I need it on the other end....... Thanks for the help Camping World. Your Great!

A&E 9100 Power Awning Arm Replacement

At first I was ready to replace this awning with a manual one. It would not shed rain. My RV dealer found a piece that replaces the awning arm so you can drop one side to shed rain. Still push button to extend, but have to manually adjust one side to shed rain. I received this accessory free of charge as the RV dealer was receiving lots of complaints of having to retract the awning every time it rained. Now electric is back in for me

    9100 A&E

March, 2007 have had our 17' A&E 9100 on our MH for 2 months now, it has worked flawlessly at this point. The only caveat is that leaves tend to build up in the arms and can jam the mechanism if not cleaned out. And this will take a stepladder unless you're 8' tall. I did have one occasion where water pooled in the center near the awning roller and I had to manually dump it, other than that it has been just fine, is extremely easy to put out and in, (she-who-must-be-kept-happy) loves that feature, just push the button. Camping World (Clermont FL) did an exceptional installation job for me, and very timely.
