This is not what I expected. The one that is on the awning now is one inch width. The one I bought is not nearly as wide.

Our awning pull strap deteriorated and fell apart so we couldn't open the awning unless we got up on a ladder to pull it down. I saw this pull strap and bought one. It's so easy to install, literally less than one minute. All you do is: Open your awning all the way, Find which end of your awning roller bar has the open end channel, Slide the rubber T insert of the old awning pull strap over to it to remove it, Insert the new one and you are all done! Fabulous!
