We haven't had a chance to use the Sun Blocker yet, but expect to use it daily when we reach our ultimate destination in the Florida Keys. We put it on the awning before we left home in Minnesota, and it was easy to install. It looked great, I am sure that it would indeed block the sun in the late afternoon.
