like using these at a couple of points in the city water hook-ups depending on the spickets used in rv parks...at the water filter either at the water supply or the toyhauler entry at our 90 degree brass connection...works great with no leaks...

Does what it is supposed to...

Works great to allow a bit of strength to your hose connection which can tend to kink a bit. Only problem is it has a tendency to RUST. I like to store all the fittings for my water connection, (Right angle, hose protector, small filter, etc) in a Ziplock after use, but if they are not fully dry the protector at least starts to rust within days. Waiting till they are all perfectly dry is not always practical, and throwing wet stuff around in the compartment is an invitation to mold, mildew and wood rot. I gave it a 3 star rating because although it does what it is supposed to, and does protect the hose from kinking, the lack of rust proofing reduces it's visual appeal, (who wants to look at, let alone drink from a rusty anything?) and ultimately it's durability. The rust happens on the spring assembly itself, and does not directly affect the taste of the water, but if it is in a ziplock bag... you get the point.
