Nestled in the golden, chalkstone-lined valley of the Missouri River, Lewis and Clark has grown into one of the most popular recreation spots in the Great Plains. The campground is located at the west side of Lake Yankton, a small lake below Gavins Point Dam. Cottonwood Campground offers 75 camping sites, 45 of which are reservable.
