Staying Connected on the Road

Let me ask you a question. Before cell phones and E-mail, how did you stay connected while traveling in your RV?
I'm sure that many of you aren't old enough to remember those days, but the rest of us do! There weren't many
choices for staying connected back in the good old days. You could search for a pay phone or you could sit down
with pen and paper, write a letter and then try to find a mailbox. You always kept plenty of loose change and
postage stamps in the RV. Those options for staying connected when you're on the road are not acceptable to today's
RVer.
RVer's are mobile people and their communication systems need to be mobile too. Some of today's RVers are content
with just a cell phone where others don't want to travel or can't travel without having access to the Internet.
Whether it's to check and send e-mail, stay in touch with the weather and news, or maybe you're like us and you
need to conduct business while you are traveling. For us to thoroughly enjoy our RV we need to stay connected
when we're on the road.
We have tried different ways to stay connected, like Air cards, or only staying at campgrounds that provide
Wi-Fi services, but these methods weren't a satisfactory solution to the problem. Air cards don't offer very
good roof-mounted antennas nor very powerful radios, so on the road you will see more dropped calls, and when
you do connect to the Internet it is almost always at a slow connection speed. And you have to be stationary
to benefit from campground Wi-Fi service. So, what's the solution? We found the answer to that question at

To test the system, we took the RV on a trip to the coast for the weekend. The route we took was not your
wide-open interstate highways; for the sake of conducting a test, we traveled instead on some very
cellular-challenged back roads. We connected and stayed connected, even in areas where we didn't get a
cellular signal. At one point during the trip our connection dropped, but shortly after that we connected again.
We were able to upload and download files quickly, and we had connection speeds three to four times faster than
a dial-up connection in these remote areas. When we traveled through more populated areas and during our
stay at the campground, we experienced faster connection speeds.
Internet In Motion was the solution to the problem. There is no system available that will connect 100% of the time,
regardless of where you are traveling, but the Internet In Motion system is like having you own private secure
Wi-Fi hotspot on the road. Whether you want to check or send emails, surf the net, shop on line, make reservations,

Watch for More New Camping World Stores Coming Soon Nationwide
New Camping World SuperCenters are opening in December in the Atlanta area, South Alabama and Las Vegas.
Atlanta-area store locations include Snellville, Georgia; Oakwood, Georgia and Woodstock, Georgia.
The Snellville store will be accessible from U.S. 78 in the Stone Mountain area. The Oakwood store will be
accessible from I-985 in the Lake Lanier area south of Gainesville. The Woodstock store will be accessible
