The Midland All Hazard Weather Alert Radio may be the ideal alarm clock for RVers.
The AM/FM radio can be powered by either four AA batteries or by an AC adapter, that's included with the unit. In addition to serving as a general alarm clock, it has an alert override feature to deliver more than 60 types of emergency alerts, including approaching bad weather or other announcements such as Amber Alerts (child abduction emergency), nuclear power plant warnings, biological hazard warnings, civil emergency messages, fire warnings or landslide warnings.
Programming the radio at each new location is simple, according to those who have used it. Keeping on top of weather changes wherever your travels take you is as easy as pushing a button and selecting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather station that is the closest to your location.
Some who have already purchased this radio say that if you are using it in a RV that has a metal exterior skin you may need to locate it near a window or use an external antenna, which comes standard with it.
