Magnetic Hitchin' Rods takes the inconvenience out of attaching a trailer

March 2011 RV Accessories by

Trying to align your trailer hitch over the hitch ball can be a hassle. It might take a few tries to get the thing properly aligned, and having to keep on trying can be really frustrating, not to mention the little dents you can leave in your bumper. Magnetic Hitchin' Rods eliminate all of these problems in one full swoop.

These luminescent yellow rods attach to your vehicle's hitch ball and the trailer's coupler. Simply align the two rods in your rearview mirror and slowly back towards the trailer. When the rod on the hitch falls off, stop and lower the coupler onto the ball and you're all set!

"We absolutely swear by these," writes one Camping World customer. "Hookup is sooooo simple...[one] neat thing is [that] you can use one rod as a depth gauge to see that the trailer is cranked up high enough to go over the ball. These [rods] are inexpensive and they work!"
