Attending an RV Rally

If you're an RV enthusiast who has never attended a rally, many say to put it on your to-do list.

Rallies come in all shapes and sizes and can be organized or informal. According to NewRVer.com, an RV rally is a planned gathering of a group of RVers, usually with something in common. They occur year-round and are a great way to meet other RVers and obtain information about your vehicle, travel locations, accessories and even have warranty service or out-of-warranty service performed.

RV clubs and groups often hold both national and local rallies. Rallies for owners of a certain brand of RV, motorhome or camper are also common.

What can you expect at a rally? While there isn't a set format, many include different types of seminars, exhibitors, new RV displays, food, entertainment, service and crafts. Knowing what will be offered at rallies you plan to attend will also help you to prioritize which things you'd like to do.

Ways to find rallies include doing an online search, correspondence from clubs you belong to or manufacturers of equipment you own, and by reading RV publications and blogs.
