Dolly Parton and Matthew McConaughey among celebs who love RVing

Celebrities are often considered to be on the cutting edge of everything from fashion and cosmetics to travel and electronics. And, now some well-known celebrities are sharing their love of RVing as well.

The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association offers some stars' thoughts on RVs on their website, www.RVIA.org.

Country music superstar Dolly Parton says she and her husband love using their RV.

Actor Matthew McConaughey says, "There's nothing not to like about it. The freedom of being able to pull up, stop, power up anywhere you want - beach or whatever. Set up and have your front yard different every single day."

Actor Jeff Daniels is an RV lover, too. "I don't think you can call yourself a true American until you've been behind the wheel of an RV ... I love seeing parts of the country I wouldn't otherwise," he said.

NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon is a fan of the lifestyle so many of his fans enjoy as well. "My RV is the only place where I can find some peace and quiet," he said.

Even U.S. Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas loves exploring the open road behind the wheel of an RV. "Being an RVer helps me do my job better. The RV world gives me a chance to balance things out. It allows me a sense of freedom," he said.
