Working while RVing full-time

Making the decision to become a full-time RVer isn't always an easy one. For many struggling with the decision, finances become a big consideration.

Many retired people still need to supplement their pension or social security in order to get by every month. Others find that they still want to work after retirement. There are a lot of resources for people in these situations but the most popular is probably the website Workamper.com.

A workamper is an RVer who works on the road. According to the Workamper News, RVers can earn money to pay their living expenses and add to their savings by working on the road. They can also reduce expenses with some jobs offering free or reduced-cost RV sites. And they tend to spend less on fuel and entertainment since they are in one place.

So what types of jobs are out there for full-time RVers? Most workamper jobs are in the outdoor hospitality industry. According to FullTimeRVer.com, the National Parks often look for RVers to take over duties from working concession stores to serving or cooking in restaurants in the park system.

But that's not it. Individuals with professional experience other areas, like nursing, can often find temporary jobs wherever they are.

The most attractive part of this for many is that when the job is over and it's time to move on there's another adventure waiting somewhere else!
