Winnebago prides itself on resilience in the industry

Many campers do not have a preference when it comes to purchasing products from one manufacturer, but Winnebago customers will tell you that the company is everything when it comes to enjoying the great outdoors. Winnebago, which has been around since the 1950s, has been a mainstay in the RV industry, and with good reason.

The company is renowned for producing high-quality vehicles, designed specifically to meet the demands of the consumer. Winnebago first started in Forest City, Iowa, but had trouble getting out of the gate due to poor economic conditions. It would be 1960 by the time the company was purchased by five Forest City residents and evolved into more than just an RV manufacturer.

Company owners soon decided to develop furniture and other appliances to accommodate the RVs they were planning to put on the market. The manufacturers also developed Thermo-Panel, designed to provide a solid, lightweight sidewall to their motorhomes.

By 1966, the first Winnebago RV was completed and revealed to the public. The company established an assembly line to keep up with demands and the rest was history.

Consumers who are interested in the best of the best in the industry are encouraged to look into Winnebago for all of their camping needs.
