Jayco stays true to its roots and humble beginnings
There are a number of RV companies in the industry that promise to provide high-quality vehicles to consumers, but not everyone meet these expectations. Campers who are tired of purchasing lackluster RVs from various companies know to turn to one business for all of their traveling needs: Jayco.
The company, which has been in business since 1968, has been providing consumers with top-quality RVs for more than three decades. Jayco was created by Lloyd Bontrager who believed that it was possible to build a better RV than what was offered on the market. Originally, Bontrager started Jayco on his farm in a barn.
In the beginning, only 15 people worked for Jayco to create its first offering of 132 fold-down trailers. Since then, Jayco has turned into a family of more than 1,000 employees, manufacturing RVs for campers across the country.
Jayco develops RVs at its facility in Middlebury, Indiana. The vehicles are marketed through partnerships with dealerships across the U.S. The company claims to have more than 25,000 loyal customers from around North America, interested in camping and the great outdoors.
