Space heaters can make winter camping much more enjoyable

Many travelers long to take advantage of the smaller crowds associated with the winter camping season, but cold weather can deter even the hardiest of adventurers. Sleeping is impossible in frosty temperatures, and no one ever forgets the feeling of bare feet on a freezing RV floor. However, there is hope in sight for people camping in cold-weather environments.

With a proper electricity source, a space heater can circulate heat throughout a cabin, RV or tent, and no heater does this better than the Vornado Vortex Heater. Buyers can choose between 1500- and 1800-watt settings to ensure that an area is warmed to the desired temperature, and the Vortex features technology that allows for automatic heating and shut-off in the case of an emergency.

"Of the dozen or so heaters I tried, the Vornado was the only one that I felt really provided the most effective heat," said a former hardware store employee on CampingWorld.com. "The only way I could describe the overall feeling I had when using the Vornado was that the heat seemed to surround me like a warm blanket."

With a portable space heater, frigid nights will soon be a thing of the past for winter campers.
