The right backpack can let any hiker reach new heights

February 2012 RV News by

The average backpacker is a pretty innovative fellow. He knows the paths and shortcuts of a mountainous area like the back of his hand, and can immediately pick out the best route to a hidden viewpoint or scenic trail. He also knows the importance of bringing a reliable pack, to store all of the various odds and ends that might be necessary for a weekend jaunt in the woods.

A backpack that epitomizes utility and practicality is the Bryce 3600 backpack. The inside boasts 3600 cubic inches of space that can easily fit cooking gear, extra clothing and food.

Often, a sleeping bag can take up extra space inside a pack, but the Bryce solves this problem by having an external compartment designed for such items. Top-loading access ensures that items remain right-side-up when carried, and the shoulder straps feature adjustable cushions that can ensure comfort even on a 20-mile hike. Standing alone, the pack weighs in around 7 pounds, which is a welcome relief compared to much heavier products.

A good backpack is essential to a pleasant hike. After all, without proper storage, a trip might end before it even gets started.
