Portable heaters can be mounted or installed in RVs, homes

February 2012 RV News by

Space heaters can warm a room effectively and safely, but they often make a lot of noise and and can consume a large amount of electricity or fuel, driving the cost of use way up.

The Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety heater is the opposite of traditional heaters, because it runs virtually silent due to a lack of flames, fans or other noisy mechanics. Leg stands allow it to be used in outdoor environments like a campsite, or the wall mounts can make it a permanent fixture in a RV or mobile home. For alpine locales, the heater will function up to 12,000 feet in altitude.

"This is a great little heater," said a customer on CampingWorld.com. "I kept it on low last night and it kept it about 55F while it was 25F outside. This little one uses the least amount of LP. It only consumes about 1/8 lb per hour, which if left on 24 hours will last 6 days on a 20lb tank. It heats approximately 100 sq ft effectively."

This fuel-efficient device can warm up any cold morning, and the integrated safety features ensure that it can be left on in wooden cabins or flammable tents.
