A proper jacket can mean the difference between comfort and aggravation on a camping trip

February 2012 RV News by

The chill of a cool summer night can penetrate the light sweatshirts and button-down shirts that many campers bring along on a camping trip. People have a misconception that just because the sun is shining during the day the weather will not drop too much at night. This can be dangerous in alpine environments where the temperature can fluctuate by over 30 degrees Fahrenheit in a single day. A good jacket is necessary to enjoy tent camping safely, and Thunderlight manufactures a reliable line of jackets that are very affordable.

The T-Core coating makes the fabric highly resistant to inclement weather conditions and provides great insulation against the elements. There is a storm flap on the interior of the jacket that prevents moisture from leaking through in a sudden downpour, and the detachable shinguard can be equipped over the top of boots during an unexpected flood to keep your feet dry. The bright red color is also useful for identification against the greens, whites and browns of forest or mountainous backgrounds.

This jacket should never be left behind when trekking through the deep woods.
