Mini-compasses can provide direction in any environment

The motto of the Boy Scouts of America is "Be prepared" - too often, campers in the wilderness do not follow this cardinal rule, and find themselves unequipped for even the simplest of situations. One of the more common problems is wayfinding, because it is very easy to stray off a beaten path, especially in alpine environments where every tree looks the same. While they require some training to read, compasses can provide cardinal directions to campers looking to head in a straight line, and miniature versions can be clipped on to belt loops or backpacks.

The luminescent dials absorb energy from the sun during the day to glow at night in case of an emergency, and the included keychain loop makes it easy to attach to a keyring or belt loop.
