Bear Grylls multi-tool can transform a camper into a survivor-man

Man vs. Wild is a very popular television program that airs on the Discover channel. During the show, host Bear Grylls is stranded in an exotic location with his camera crew, and they attempt to survive in the wild while finding their way back to civilization. Grylls often stresses how simple tools can aid a stranded hiker or camper, and manufactures his own brand of multi-tool that takes his personal lessons into account.

The Bear Gyrlls compact multi-tool folds out into 12 instruments designed to increase the odds of survival. Needle-nose pliers are perfect for removing splinters of rocks and wood from injured flesh, and the serrated knives and saws can strip bark from trees for kindling when trying to start a fire. For campers who are not so experienced in the outdoors, a pocket survival guide is included to list survival priorities during an emergency.

Additionally, campers can use the multi-tool even when on a relaxing adventure. The bottle-opener makes it easy to open any beverage, and the wire cutters and scissors can help cut string or rope when hanging up a tarp or clothesline.
