Innovative headgear incorporates illumination in an unlikely form

In the novel series "The Lord of the Rings," the Lady Galadriel gives Frodo a crystal that contains the light of the Evenstar. After the hobbit receives the gift, Galadriel simply says "May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out." The 3 LED baseball cap from Carno provides the same reliable illumination that Frodo needed on his trek to Mount Doom.

"It works great," said one person on CampingWorld.com. "The batteries last a long time."

The hat features distinct technology including an integrated sweatband and Velcro strap for maximum comfort, and is emblazoned with a camouflage pattern that will blend in with woodland backdrops. This would be ideal for a hunter who does not want to give away his position. The three triangulated LED lights are installed right under the brim and can shine for over 100,000 hours each. They run for up to 75 hours off of CR-2032 batteries, and the on/off switch is attached underneath the brim for easy manipulation.

Had these hats existed in Middle Earth, Frodo would have thrown out the crystal in favor of this reliable headgear.
