GPS systems for RVs

If you're an old fashioned traveler who likes to depend on road maps to get you and your RV where you're going, or if you spend hours printing out directions before you leave for a trip in your RV, now may be the time to consider a GPS unit.

Many RVers who don't have a GPS built-in on their vehicle's dash board think that these high-tech devices are too pricey. But that's simply not the case.

Portable GPS units, like the Garmin Nuvi, range in price from about $135 to $450 dollars each. In addition to their affordability, these portable devices can be used in your RV, your tow vehicle, or even at home in your regular car.

They're easy to use as well. Simply enter the address into the system and the device links with satellites to map out the best route. A map displays on the screen while you're driving and there are spoken directions to make navigating easier.

And, if you miss a turn or decide to take a different route, the device will adjust the route to compensate. Many also display your estimated arrival time, which makes traveling even easier. ADNFCR-2712-ID-19569150-ADNFCR
