Honda has again revolutionized RV power with the EU2000i Companion portable generator, a 2000-watt powerhouse that comes ready-made with a locking 30-amp/125-volt receptacle and easy connection to a standard EU2000i for 4000-watt output.
The Companion (Item #43844) offers most of the same features as the standard EU2000i and also includes as a new feature a single 20-amp/120-volt receptacle to accompany the 30-amp connection. This feature replaces the duplex 20-amp/120-volt outlet found on the standard EU2000i. 12-volt DC charging capability is not available on the Companion model.
Connecting the Companion to a standard EU2000i is easy with Parallel Cables & RV Adapter Kit (Item #43982), available at Camping World. The kit includes a set of parallel cables and an adapter that converts a 30-amp RV male plug to the locking 30-amp receptacle on the EU2000i Companion. No bulky add-on panel is needed; just connect the Companion to a standard EU2000i, then use the included adapter to connect your RV power cord to run one 13,500 RV air conditioner, a satellite TV system, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, microwave or other electric accessories.
The Companion shares the advanced inverter technology of other Honda Super Quiet Series generators to produce stable, clean power for operating the most sensitive electronic devices, such as computers, TVs and DVD players. By taking the raw power produced by the generator and passing it through a special microprocessor, Honda generators are able to produce a sine wave equal to or better than your household power.
Linking a Honda EU2000i Companion and a standard EU2000i to power your RV lets you enjoy the comforts of home in your RV. And by using either 2000-watt generator separately, you can enjoy reliable, portable power for tailgating, picnicking, outdoor projects and more—much more versatility than you enjoy with a built-in RV generator.
