2010 Montecito by Four Winds International. That’s because each of the four available floorplans comes already equipped with the upscale amenities RVers expect in a coach of this caliber.
Brawn & Beauty
The Montecito is built on the Freightliner XC chassis with a 360 HP Cummins diesel engine mated to an Allison six-speed transmission. A 100 gallon fuel tank and 130 gallon propane tank come standard, along with a 10,000 lb. rated hitch receiver and automatic touch-pad hydraulic levelers.
The body features a one-piece windshield with steel cage construction, aluminum-framed sidewalls and roof, steel-framed and laminated floor, gel-coat fiberglass walls, dual-pane windows, molded fiberglass front and rear caps and premium one-piece TPO roof. Automatic awnings color come standard, as do vinyl slideout topper awnings.
Cockpit Convenience
The dashboard features all the usual gauges and switches plus a Jensen RV AM/FM radio with weather band tuner and Sirius® satellite radio and a color rear and side vision system. The power driver and passenger seats cradle you in comfort. Twin dash fans and map lights activate at a touch, as does the power sun visor with manual privacy shades.
Elegant Interior
Porcelain tile covers the floor in the living and dining areas, with cushy carpeting in the bedroom. Day/night shades control light in the living and bedroom areas. Choose Cherry or Maple wood cabinetry with solid wood, raised-panel cabinet doors and oil- rubbed bronze finish hardware. Soft Touch leather sofas are standard, as is a central vacuum system.
The master suite features a king-size bed with pillow top mattress; a
Select Comfort Sleep Number® mattress with dual controls is optional. There’s also a pre-wired space for an optional stackable washer and dryer; large rear wardrobe; twin nightstands and spacious dresser drawers. The bathroom offers a china toilet, fiberglass shower with glass enclosure and mirrored medicine cabinet with vanity lights.
In the kitchen you’ll find a cavernous 12 cu. ft. stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker, three-burner cooktop with overhead convection microwave oven, double sink and polished solid surface kitchen countertops.
Electronic Entertainment
Large screen LCD TVs come standard in the bedroom and living room. A front overhead TV is optional, as are a satellite system and exterior entertainment center with TV, DVD player and speakers. Each coach comes equipped with a DVD player in the bedroom. Bunk beds offer individual LCD monitors with DVD and wireless headphones. An over-the-air TV antenna with signal booster is standard; all models are prewired for portable satellite dish, cable TV and phone.
Utilities
The Montecito comes with an Onan® QuietDiesel™ generator; a 2000 watt inverter with 100-amp charger and two six-volt batteries, a 50-amp, 12-volt distribution panel and a built-in energy management system. Chill out with 13,500 BTU air conditioners front and rear. Powerful 30,000 BTU front and 20,000 BTU rear LP furnaces keep all but the 38D cozy; it boasts a single 40,000 BTU electronic ignition furnace. A ceramic heater in the water compartment is standard on all models. Hook-ups are easy at the exterior systems compartment. Each model carries 90 gallons of fresh water and has a 10 gallon gas/electric DSI water heater. Black water tank capacity is 54 gallons; grey water capacity is 63-70 gallons depending on model.
