The first of its kind International Virtual Outdoor Expo scheduled for the fall will feature a new concept in educational webinars.
The event will feature several panel discussions called "open forums." These forums will include discussions on particular topics of interest to attendees with panelists with expertise in the fields. After a brief panel discussion on the subject, the floor will be open to questions from the attendee audience.
Confirmed open forums for the expo so far include computerized reservation services and WiFi.
Deb Kohls, of Leisure Interactive, who is in charge of the educational programs at the expo, is confident that attendees will appreciate the opportunity to actually participate in discussions at the forums. Because the expo is expanding to the entire outdoor hospitality industry,
speakers are being targeted to bring a wide variety of panel experts with travel, marketing and technology experience.
"The expo promises to be an exciting way to connect, network and learn through an interactive online experience," said Art Lieberman, the expo's producer. "These forums can be lively, informative and even entertaining."
The virtual outdoor expo will take place online from November 1 through November 3. It will have all the components of a live convention, including a registration area, exhibit halls, a conference center for webinars, a lounge and a press room.
