Supplemental braking system makes towing another vehicle safer

Whether you're towing a travel trailer with a car, truck or SUV, or pulling a car in back of your RV or motor home, odds are you'll need a supplemental braking system.

RV expert Mark Polk writes on the KOA website about differing laws governing whether or not you'll need a supplemental system, "These laws are normally based on the amount of weight being towed. One problem with this is that it might be legal to tow a 2,000-pound trailer with no brakes in the state where you live, but as soon as you cross the state line of a bordering state it is illegal to tow the same trailer without brakes. Add to this your insurance company, who may not cover you in the event of an accident involving a trailer with no braking system. Again, the most important reason is for your safety and the safety of others."

Roadmaster's Add-a-Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System will ensure you're following the laws and provide safety for you and others on the road.

In addition to connecting and disconnecting quickly, this system features variable pressure settings, a fast recovery-high volume air compressor which is nearly twice as fast as other portable systems, reliable monitoring with easy-to-read LED monitor, and an adjustable feet and pedal clamp for quick, secure and stable fit.

It also meets U. S. and Canadian braking requirements for towed vehicles.
