Portable campfire provides a safe and easy alternative

The image of sitting around a campfire telling stories, roasting marshmallows and cuddling up is one many campers yearn for. However, the reality of building a great campfire is often easier said than done when it comes to finding or buying wood, struggling to light it and keep it burning.

The Little Red Portable Campfire is a self-storing propane unit that makes having a campfire easy and safe in almost any outdoor environment.

After attaching a propane cylinder, users can enjoy a realistic campfire that puts out up to 18,200 BTU per hour to chase away the evening chill. A full burner ring allows even gas and flame distribution with realistic-looking logs.

It has a heat-resistant base and tray that elevates the fire off of the ground, but keeps the base cool.

It's easy to store, as well. Simply replace the lid and latch it closed for secure travel and storage.

One reviewer on CampingWorld.com wrote, "We love our campfire. Portable, cheap and safe. We can use the campfire for five to six nights at two to three hours per night on a five-gallon propane bottle. No sparks to start fires. Turn it off and go to bed. No smoke in your hair (the wife likes this) and the grandkids can still barbeque hot dogs and marshmallows. The bottom of the campfire is cool enough to sit on our RV mat without burning it."
