Two-way radios keep campers connected

Many campers rely on cell phones to stay in touch with their friends and family while traveling. Some even use cell phones to keep in touch with each other while they're hiking, biking or taking part in other activities on their own, away from the campsite. However, cell phones may be unreliable, especially in secluded areas where service is unavailable.

Walkie-talkies, like the Cobra 25-Mile Two-Way Radios, offer a great solution for travelers who want a reliable and inexpensive way to keep in touch with others in their party while out and about.

These UHF/FM band radios provide ultra-clear long distance reception for up to 25 miles, depending on terrain and conditions.

They also feature 3124 channel combinations using 142 privacy codes to prevent interference from other radios. And, a 10-channel memory allows you to save frequently used channels for easy retrieval.

The radios are equipped with vibration to alert you to incoming calls and allow you to program 10 call tones to let you know who is calling, based on the tone.

The set comes with two radios but more can be purchased to accommodate every member of your party. It also includes a desktop charger and rechargeable batteries.
