Will 'Twilight' star settle lawsuit with RV dealer?

The owner of the California-based RV dealership that's being sued by teen movie star Taylor Lautner is challenging the actor to a push-up contest, rather than a long, drawn-out court battle.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lautner sued RV dealership owner Brent McMahon late last month for not delivering a $300,000 customized rig in time for the shoot of his new movie. Lautner claims his father negotiated for McMahon's dealership to refurbish a 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV by June but the dealership failed to meet the deadline.

TMZ.com reports the mistake has caused Lautner "emotional distress" and "annoyance."

McMahon told the Hollywood Reporter that the Lautners and their lawyers demanded $40,000 before filing the lawsuit. But they have a better idea. If Lautner shows up and wins a push-up contest against the 47-year old RV dealer, McMahon will pay him the $40,000 to settle the case. If McMahon wins, he'll donate the $40,000 to Children's Hospital of Orange County.

"We're taking a negative and making it into a positive to benefit the sick children at Children's Hospital of Orange County," McMahon said at a press conference.

The 18-year old star of the popular "Twilight" movie series is well-known for his muscular, toned physique.

Access Hollywood reports that Lautner's attorney declined comment on the push-up challenge, citing the pending lawsuit.
