Actor Taylor Lautner settles suit with RV dealer

Representatives for teenaged actor Taylor Lautner say the star has settled a lawsuit with an RV dealership he claims didn't deliver a $300,000 coach in time for a movie shoot.

Lautner, best known for his role as Jacob Black in the "Twilight" movie series, has sued McMahon RV of Irvine, California. He claimed the dealership failed to meet a June deadline to deliver a 2006 Affinity Country Coach for him to use on the set of another movie he is filming.

TMZ.com reported that the mistake had caused the 18-year old Lautner "emotional distress" and "annoyance."

Dealership owner Brent McMahon had offered to compete with Lautner in a push-up contest to solve the dispute in which the winner would donate money to charity.

Instead, Lautner's attorney says that the dealership will pay $40,000 to the actor, who will donate it to Lollipop Theater Network, a children's charity.

"Although McMahon's RV publicly denied all allegations and was prepared to defend the lawsuit, Brent McMahon decided to resolve the matter for the benefit of charity," McMahon's attorney Adam Obeid told the Orange County Register in an e-mail.
