The Winnebago® Via™ Class A motorhome is ideal for those looking to downsize or for better fuel efficiency without giving up all the comforts of a traditional Class A coach. Available in three 25' 5" models, including a new 25Q model for 2011, the Via is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis with a 3.0 liter turbo-diesel six-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
Built for Strength
The Via is built for strength and stability, using Winnebago Industries’ SuperStructure®, a steel and aluminum frame with interlocking joints that lock floor, sidewalls and roof together. Key cabinetry and appliances are secured to the metal substructure for added stability and safety.
Thermo-Panel construction, a Winnebago Industries’ invention, bonds a fiberglass panel, high density block foam insulation and aluminum support structures for strong yet lightweight sidewalls. A crowned, one-piece fiberglass roof offers better puncture- and tear-resistance than rubber roofs plus easier maintenance. Dual-pane windows have built-in screens plus shades that rise from the window base for privacy while enjoying a breeze.
Smart Design
Winnebago’s SmartSpace™ and SmartStorage™ engineering use available space in innovative ways inside and out. The new optional StudioLoft™ offers an easily accessible sleeping area with a 49" x 73" foam mattress and surrounding privacy curtain in a pull-down pod over the cab. With the StudioLoft raised, the driver and passenger seats raise 6" and rotate to become living room chairs during the day. The new 25Q has a comfortable rear queen bed slideout with walk-around convenience. The 25T comes equipped with 32" x 74" twin beds, which convert to a 59" x 87" queen bed with foam mattress, using the unique Flex Bed™ kit. The movable pedestal table in all models can be used in front of the sofa or in front of the rotated cab seats.
SmartStorage™ puts bulky systems in places that free up space for exterior storage and convenience, like the LP tank that’s located between the frame rails instead of outside the rails. A remote fill and shut-off switch make LP system operation and maintenance easy. All models offer plenty of exterior storage: 43.6 cu. ft. in the 25R and a 45.4 in the 25T, while the new 25Q offers exterior storage of 25 cubic feet. Overhead cabinets and handy drawers provide plenty of inside storage too.
Kitchen Amenities
Meal preparation is a breeze in the Via, using the Highpoint for 2011 microwave/convection oven and a two-burner stove with vented range hood. To maximize counter space, both the stove and large round stainless steel sink have glass flip-up covers plus the faucet folds down into the sink when not in use. A unique feature in the large refrigerator is a removable freezer compartment that gives you more space for cold food storage.
Bath Comforts
In the bathroom, the shower has a space-saving, self-cleaning, retractable sliding door, Shower curtain on 25Q handheld showerhead and skylight. A mirrored medicine cabinet is over the sink Only on 25R; an overhead power vent ejects steam and odors.
Tuning In
The built-in coach stereo system offers AM/FM, CD/DVD, alarm clock and input jack for an MP3 player. The 25R has a 32" LCD TV in the living area; the 25T and the 25Q are fitted with a 26" LCD TV on an innovative sliding bracket for optimal viewing when the slideout is retracted. Each coach has an amplified digital TV antenna and is satellite-ready; a satellite TV antenna with elevation sensing unit is optional. Jacks for a portable satellite TV antenna and cable TV are in the electrical service center outside.
The Driver’s World
Both driver and passenger seats offer adjustable lumbar support, power lift and swivel/slide/recline capability. The power steering wheel tilts and telescopes. A Jensen™ AM/FM/CD radio with remote has an LCD touch screen that doubles as the monitor for the built-in rear- and side-view cameras. Sirius® satellite radio with over 120 digital channels is optional and includes a complimentary six-month subscription. A power sunvisor drops down at the touch of a button For 2011 the power visor is only with the loft bed. The std is front overhead cabinets with 3 manual visors.
Exterior Innovations
Winnebago innovations carry through to the coach exterior. The new Threshold RV Door™ is modeled on an airline door, with dual seals and latches plus hidden hinges to reduce wind and road noise. Exterior and interior handles are at separate heights for easy entry and exit. A built-in screen window eliminates a separate screen door. The new TrueLevel holding tank monitor uses sonar technology to read liquid levels from outside the holding tanks, so there are no probes to corrode or clog. The new IntelliSense™ monitor provides key system information; an intuitive touch screen puts you in control of everything.
