It is constructed of stainless steel and uses a net that goes around the bag and secures to a stationery object. Because of this construction, it is slash-proof and deters theft, pilfering, and tampering when bags are left alone.

The PacSafe also comes with an included padlock to make securing belongings simple.

Even though it is made of steel, it is very light, weighing less than two pounds. It also folds compactly for easy storage inside an included storage bag when not in use.
