Monitoring tire pressure is an essential piece of RV safety. Low tire pressure can cause uneven wearing of the tires and poor gas efficiency. It can even lead to tire failure and blowouts.
Using a tire pressure monitoring system like the TireMinder system can help make this task an easier one for RV owners.
The TireMinder Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) uses transmitters that screw onto the tires' valve stems and send readings to the digital monitor inside the RV or truck, allowing drivers to easily monitor up to 22 wheels at a time.
The product is recommended for use on motorhomes, fifth wheels and trailers. It is accurate to within 2.7 percent.
The user-programmable system signals and sounds alarms for tire pressure loss or if tire temperature exceeds 167 degrees Fahrenheit.
The kit includes a receiver monitor with a heavy-duty multi-angle mounting bracket, four pressure/temperature transmitters, four extra batteries, a 12/24 volt DC charger, anti-theft locks and a screwdriver for lock installation.
This product has received a five-star rating on CampingWorld.com.
Wrote one Camping World customer, "It works great in all respects! Not only does it warn you of low pressure, but it alerts you to a rapid and not so rapid fall in pressure, an unsafe increase in pressure and an unsafe high temperature in any wheel! The screen is easy to read in all lighting. It is easy to set up."
