Using a product like a Portable Wedge Alarm may also be helpful.

This product wedges against a door or window to monitor unwanted entry in an RV or at home.

It features a hook and loop bottom that grips to rugs or can be used with double-stick tape pads to adhere to window frames or hard floors.

When the Portable Wedge Alarm is moved, it emits a piercing 120 decibel alarm.
