A recent survey done by RVTravel.com has revealed that portable space heaters are high on the list of must-haves for many RVers, especially during the fall and winter months.
The online survey of more than 2,200 people found that 84 percent of respondents carry a small, electric space heater with them in their RV either "all or most of the time."
"Even in the south, our bathroom is cold during the winter mornings," wrote one participant. "Our little electric space heater makes it cozy and warm in a short time."
CampingWorld.com carries several different types of portable space heaters that are ideal for use in an RV.
Among the top-rated models are the Olympian Wave Catalytic Safety Heaters, the Oscillating Ceramic Heater, the Mr. Heater Portable Buddy Heater, the Vornado Vortex Heater and the Mr. Heater Little Buddy Propane Heater.
RV owners should consider the size of their vehicle or rooms before choosing a portable heater to ensure the unit they purchase will adequately heat the desired area.
"This is the best way to heat the trailer without having to run a generator all the time to keep your battery charged," a Camping World customer who uses a portable heater wrote.
