A recent survey of more than 7,000 pet owners by PetRelocation.com found that 63 percent of pet owners say they travel at least 50 miles with their pets during the holidays, according to RV.net.

RV.net reports that unrestrained pets in autos are responsible for more than 30,000 accidents every year, according to the ASPCA.
