Travelers who have pulled the covers off of their RVs and fear the price of trekking across the country may want to consider a new green motorhome.
Brian Brawdy, a former television reporter and current environmental activist, will attend the Ohio RV Supershow this week to promote sustainable motorhomes. Brawdy is working on designing eco-friendly RVs for travelers who are interested in saving money and the planet, according to The News-Herald.
"I'm coming back just to hang out and teach people how to live off the grid," Brawdy told the news source. "The cool thing about it, with the solar panels and wind turbines and the ability to harvest your own rainwater and melt your own snow, I design the RVs in such a way that you can really use it as a just-in-case place."
At the Supershow, Brawdy said that he will exhibit a V-8 diesel model designed to generate energy off of the environment. The RV has 11 solar panels and three wind turbines to provide travelers with all of the power they need on the go.
A family of four can save an average of 74 percent by vacationing in a motorhome, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association.
