Experts say RVers should make summer reservations soon
According to a report in the RV industry magazine Campground and RV Park eNews, many popular resorts are already booking up for next year.
"Parks from the Northeast to the Pacific Northwest are already receiving advance reservations for Memorial Day and Fourth of July holiday weekends," noted the December 16 issue.
For example, a popular Washington state campground, the Pacific Beach State Park, is already listed as 80 percent booked for Fourth of July weekend, according to the report.
The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds has already predicted an increase in reservations as well. "I think we're looking across the country to an improved camping season next year," said Chairman David Berg.
Campground and RV Park eNews says that hesitation in making plans may prove to make getting a reservation for the 2010 season difficult or even impossible, especially at popular resorts. Individuals should consider making reservations as soon as possible to ensure open space.
