NHTSA issues RV-related recalls
Certain 2011 Forest River Inc. Wildcat travel trailers are being recalled. The NHTSA says vehicles manufactured between January 1, 2010, and July 22, 2010 may have incorrect information for the models' gross vehicle weight rating, gross axle weight rating, tires, rims and air pressure as a result of information being incorrectly inputted in the corporate computer system.
This mistake could lead to an owner to inadvertently overloading the vehicle.
In addition, certain 2011 Jayco Jay Feather travel trailers Series X213 are being recalled. The products in question were manufactured between May 17, 2010, and August 16, 2010.
The recall was issued to the company for failing to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110: Tire Selection and Rims. The federal ID label, the tire and the loading information label have an incorrect tire pressure listed.
Owners who have products that could be affected by these recall announcements are encouraged to contact the manufacturer for further instructions.
