Preparing your RV for tailgating with a little clean-up

November 2011 RV Tips and Advice by

As the college football season rolls on, many people are already thinking about how they're going to gear up their recreational vehicles in order to tailgate at the most popular bowl games of the year. You may already have all of the food and foam fingers ready, but have you thought about sprucing up your RV on the inside and out?

RV News Magazine says there are a few ways that you can prepare your motorhome for tailgating and travel. First, give it a quick cleaning to make room for everything you'll be bringing with you on the road, such as a large grill or electric generator.

Next, think about giving your RV a little elbow grease to make it look brand new before you show it off in the parking lot on game day.

"Small changes like repairing scratches, brightening wheels or reviving a worn truck bed can really improve the look of a vehicle," Melissa Grimm, brand manager for Rust-Oleum Automotive, told the news source. "These simple projects are so easy and inexpensive, any RV owner can tackle them without losing precious tailgating time."

By putting in a little effort before hitting the road, you can make sure your RV is ready to help you cheer on your favorite college football team from the moment you pull off the cover.
