FMCA to host 87th annual Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase

Motorhome conventions are a great place for trailer and RV owners to meet up with other camping enthusiasts, and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about new gadgets on the market.

Recently, the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) announced dates for the 87th annual Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase. Starting on July 2, 2012, visitors will have four days to view the exhibit at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The convention will be the first international event to be held in Indiana. More than 3,000 families are expected to attend the Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase, while 10,000 people in total are predicted to visit the exhibition over the course of four days. Family parking days will be held on June 30 and July 1.

"We intend to have a true family-oriented get-together for all motorhome enthusiasts to enjoy," said Judy Czarsty, FMCA national senior vice president and acting national president.

FMCA plans to host two family reunions in Georgia prior to the international convention in 2012. Towable trailer owners have been invited to attend the events, in addition to recreational vehicle owners.

A family of four can save an average of 74 percent by vacationing in a motorhome, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association.
