TACO to prepare for RV and trailer owners in Dallas area

Recently, the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) announced that it will be working to cater to RV and trailer owners who will be in town this February for the Super Bowl. The big game is expected to attract thousands to the area. Many of these RV travelers are not familiar with local campgrounds, and TACO has made it its goal to help out visitors in town for the event.

TACO has launched a website titled DFW Events And Campgrounds for individuals who are planning a trip down to Texas in February. On the site, visitors can locate RV campgrounds near Dallas Cowboys Stadium and other venues in the area.

Brian Schaeffer, executive director and CEO of TACO, said that the site is currently limited to the Dallas area. However, the success it has seen is prompting developers to continue expanding the services to other big cities across Texas.

"We think this website will become an increasingly important travel and activity planning tool for RVers and even residents who live in the greater Dallas/Forth Worth area," Schaeffer said.

A family of four can save an average of 74 percent by vacationing in a motorhome, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association.
