Atlanta Motor Speedway prepares for Kobalt Tools 500

The countdown is on for the Kobalt Tools 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The March 7th event is the first NASCAR Sprint Cup series race of the year at the venue and RV campsites are already being booked.

RVBasics.com reports that a limited number of campsites are available at the speedway's three newest campgrounds for the race weekend.

The Legends Reserved Tent, Elliott Reserved and Elliott Reserved Handicapped Campgrounds have just a handful of spaces available for campers looking for prime real estate. All three provide proximity to the track and locations within walking distance from the Display Lot.

The Elliott Reserved and Elliott Reserved Handicapped sites are located directly behind the turn 3 Elliott Grandstand. The sites are designated for RV camping and measure 25 by 45 feet each. They cost $150 for the weekend.

Also new this season is the Trackside Terrace RV Camping area. This fast-selling area offers 61 spaces that overlook the speedway, providing an unparalleled view of all the action on the high-speed backstretch. Each 50-by-25 foot spot comes with 10 daily admission tickets. They cost $7,000 per year and include 24-hour security, full hook-ups and two additional non-RV vehicle spots.
