Jayco sticks to its humble beginnings as it manufactures RVs

Some travelers are content with purchasing a standard RV from a large manufacturing company. However, many consumers want to know that they're buying a vehicle from a wholesome business with moral values. Success can often drive companies to forget their main objective and begin to lack in quality.

One company that has managed to withstand the test of time and learn to live with its success is Jayco. Since beginning in 1968, the business has grown from its humble beginnings on a farm. Lloyd Bontrager began the company in an effort to develop RVs that could enhance the camping experience.

Jayco quickly went from producing fold-down camping trailers to larger RVs for outdoor enthusiasts. Needless to say, Bontrager achieved his goal before the company grew to have more than 1,600 employees.

Jayco considers its customer base of 25,000 people to be its "extended family." The goal of the company is to make sure that travelers have everything they need to enjoy the great outdoors. Jayco continues to exceed expectations by producing a wide range of vehicles, including fifth wheels and lightweight trailers.
